On this page
Why Google shows it
Where it shows: in Merchant Center, on the product or on the account.
- Missing required attributes, such as image, price or availability.
- An image with promotional text, a watermark or a placeholder.
- A landing page that is broken or does not show the product.
- A restricted or prohibited product under Shopping policies.
How to fix it
- In Merchant Center, open Products, then Needs attention, and group by issue.
- Start with the issue that affects the most products, often one fix in the feed.
- Correct the data at the source, in the shop platform or the feed rules.
- Wait for the next feed fetch, or fetch it now, and check the issue count goes down.
What happens next
Fixed products usually return within a few days after the next feed update and review.
Disapproved best sellers cost the most. Sort by past clicks or revenue and fix those first.
How to stop it coming back
Fix issues at the source, in the shop or the feed rules, so the next product added does not repeat them.
Check the Needs attention list weekly and after every catalogue import.
Checks that catch it
Oppy runs these every week, so the status is found early.
- Products that cannot appear at all: Products marked not eligible, which never enter the auction and so never appear in any report.
- A listing group shutting most of the catalogue out: A listing group that shuts most of the catalogue out.
