Optizads

Optizads vs Google's recommendations. Free advice, and whose interest it serves.

Google Ads suggests changes on its Recommendations page, and its optimization score rises as you apply or dismiss them. Some are good. Some raise spend. Optizads judges every change on your own numbers and margin, shows the evidence, and leaves the decision to you.

Where Optizads goes further.

  • Judged on your margin

Every finding is weighed against your own conversion rate, costs and margin, not against how far you follow a list.

  • Evidence you can check

Each finding shows the rows that prove it. You can check the arithmetic yourself.

  • No spend raised on its own

Oppy proposes budget raises as tasks, with the numbers behind them. None is applied until you approve it.

  • Auto-apply back under control

The audit lists the auto-apply types Google reports, counts what they changed in the last 30 days, and switches them off once you approve.

How to use Google's recommendations well.

Read them as suggestions, not instructions. Asset suggestions are usually safe. Recommendations to raise budgets, switch to broad match or change bid strategies change what the account buys: check them against your own numbers first.

Review which types are set to auto-apply. Optizads' audit lists every auto-apply subscription with what the change history credits to it, and can switch off Google's standing permission once you approve.

Google also has its own agent. Ads Advisor, rolled out in December 2025, is built into Google Ads at no extra charge, for accounts in English. It suggests changes and asks before it acts, like its recommendations. The difference is whose numbers it weighs: Google's agent works for the platform that sells the clicks, Oppy for the account that pays for them.

Try it beside what you use today.

Every account starts in Suggest only, so nothing changes until you approve it and you compare on your own data.

  1. Connect in minutes

Sign in with Google and pick the ad account. There is no script to install, and nothing else you use changes.

  2. Read the first audit

107 checks, each with the rows behind it. Set its findings next to what you already know.

  3. Approve only what you agree with

Suggest only is the default: Oppy changes nothing until you say yes. Every change lands in History.

Should I follow Google's recommendations?

Some, after checking them. Recommendations that add assets are usually harmless. Ones that raise budgets, broaden match types or change bid strategies deserve a look at your own numbers first.

Does optimization score affect ad performance?

No. It is Google's estimate of how well the account is set to perform, and it rises when you apply or dismiss its recommendations. It does not measure profit or results.

Does Google have its own AI agent for Google Ads?

Yes. Ads Advisor, rolled out in December 2025, works inside Google Ads, suggests changes and asks for your approval before it acts. It is available to accounts in English.
