What the catalogue holds. Grouped as the app groups them.

Every metric has a short explanation and a direction: up is better, down is better, or neither, as for spend. The metrics catalogue lists all 157 with what each one counts.

The four GA4 ad metrics count visits whose source and medium is exactly google / cpc. Purchases and Leads are Google Ads conversions in fixed categories, not GA4 or CRM figures.

One search, three counts. Why they never match, and should not.

Take Alder & Pine, a made-up furniture shop, on one Tuesday. Google Ads counts 412 clicks on its ads. GA4 counts 371 visits from google / cpc. Search Console counts 958 clicks on its free results in Google Search. None of the three is wrong.

Clicks and visits part ways for plain reasons. A person who clicks and leaves before the page loads is a click with no visit. Two ad clicks a few minutes apart can make one visit. A visitor who refuses analytics cookies may not be counted as a visit at all.

Optizads keeps each figure under its own source and name: Clicks from Google Ads, Visits from ads from GA4, Organic clicks from Search Console. It never adds one to another. The Google Ads and GA4 report guide covers which ones to set side by side.

Totals the way Google totals them. So a month matches Google's own screen.

Optizads adds up your figures the way Google does, so a month on Optizads matches the same month in Google Ads and Google Analytics. Your cost per conversion, your ROAS or your impression share read the same number in both places.

No spreadsheet gymnastics, no figures that drift from Google's screen and start a debate in the client meeting. The metrics catalogue lists every figure you can use.

Re-read every night, 35 days back. Because conversions arrive late.

Optizads stores each account's figures day by day, one row per campaign. Every campaign type is read, removed campaigns too, so the days add up to the account's own totals. Days follow the account's time zone.

Each night, the last 35 days are read again. Google keeps adding conversions to past days for weeks as people convert after their click (the conversion lag), and Search Console's last two or three days come in late. A day that looked weak at first shows its late conversions in the following nights, without anyone asking.

During the day, opening the Overview with figures over an hour old starts a fresh read of recent days in the background, and the page redraws when it lands. The top of the page says when: "Google Ads data updated 3 h ago". Your sheet metrics are read again each night too.

25 months of history, read when you connect.

Source
History read on connect
Google Ads
About 25 months: 12 shown, the 12 before for "same days last year", and the month under way. The first read starts at once; older months fill in over the next nightly runs.
Google Analytics 4
About 25 months of daily sessions, engaged sessions, key events and revenue, for the whole site and for visits from your ads (google / cpc), as far back as the property's data goes.
Search Console
16 months, as far back as Search Console keeps.
Google Sheets
Every dated row in the sheet.
Budgets and campaign status
None before connecting. A row is kept from then on each time a budget or status changes.

One catalogue, four places. Pick a metric once, find it everywhere.

The same 157 metrics are offered wherever a figure can go, and your own join them everywhere but the chat. A GA4 or Search Console metric appears once that source is connected for the account.

  • Overview

Up to 12 metric cards in Edit my metrics, drawn as a number, a line, bars or a gauge. Your order is saved for you only. See Overview.

  • Goals

Any metric can carry a goal: a monthly figure for a count, a level for a rate or a cost. See Goals.

  • Reports

Key figures takes one to eight metrics from the whole catalogue. The Performance chart draws any built-in metric over time. See the report builder.

  • Chat

Oppy draws Key figures and Performance chart cards with the built-in metrics, each figure read back with its unit. See generative UI.

Your own numbers, beside Google's. From a sheet, or from two metrics.

  • Google Sheets metrics

One column of your sheet with a date column becomes a metric, read again each night. Choose how a day's rows add up, keep only some rows, read every tab laid out alike. See Google Sheets.

  • Calculated metrics

Two metrics, built-in or from a sheet, and one operation: divide, multiply, add or subtract. Spend ÷ Qualified leads gives a cost per qualified lead from figures Google Ads never sees. The docs show each step.

Questions about data and metrics.

Anything else? Ask Oppy in the product, or write to the team.

Is the data real time?

No. Stored figures are read each night, with the last 35 days read again, and an open Overview refreshes recent days when they are over an hour old. Report tables and some cards read Google Ads live when opened, then keep the answer 30 minutes.

Why can a figure for last week change?

Google keeps adding conversions to past days for weeks. Optizads re-reads the last 35 days every night, so last week's conversions can rise as late ones arrive, the same way they do in Google Ads.

Why do Google Ads clicks and GA4 visits not match?

They count different things. A click that leaves before the page loads makes no visit. Two ad clicks close together can make one visit. And a visitor who refuses analytics cookies may not be counted. Optizads shows each under its own name and never adds them together.

Can Oppy answer questions about GA4 in the chat?

Through report cards only. Once GA4 is connected, Oppy can draw Key figures or a Performance chart with GA4 metrics, read by Optizads. It cannot run free queries on GA4 or Search Console.

How many custom metrics can an account have?

Up to 20 Google Sheets metrics and 20 calculated metrics per ad account, on top of the 157 built-in ones.

Which Search Console figures does Optizads read?

Four, for the whole site: organic clicks, organic impressions, organic CTR and average position. They go back 16 months, and the last days are read again each night because Search Console fills them late.
