Optizads vs Data Studio. A report you build, or one that opens ready.
Data Studio, the new name of Looker Studio, is Google's free tool for building reports and dashboards from more than 1,400 data sources. Optizads is built for Google Ads alone: 24 report templates open on the account's own figures, and the Overview tracks pacing, goals and forecasts. Oppy also does the work, and applies each change once you approve.
Side by side.

Where Optizads goes further.
Where the month will end
The Overview shows the month's spend against the budget, where it will likely end and what a day must cost to land on it. The Goals page forecasts each goal with a likely range. Google's pages describe no forecasting.
The audit behind the figures
Every week Oppy checks the account and turns each finding into a task with the rows that prove it. A Data Studio report shows the numbers; deciding what to change is left to you.
Changes applied for you
Oppy writes the change, applies it once you approve and reads the account back. Data Studio reads data into reports and changes nothing in Google Ads.
Which fits you.
Data Studio fits when
You want a free tool that reports on many sources at once, and someone on the team likes building and keeping reports up to date.
Optizads fits when
You want Google Ads reports that open ready on the account's figures, with pacing, goals and forecasts, and the account worked on by the same tool.
The real difference: a canvas, or a report that knows Google Ads.
Data Studio is a canvas. It connects to more than 1,400 sources, and you choose every chart, filter and page. Creators and viewers pay nothing. The cost is time: someone builds the report, and someone mends it when the account or the client's questions change.
Optizads starts from the account. Its 24 templates cover the account section by section, from search terms and Quality Score to products and Performance Max, and each opens on the account's figures over the period you pick. Customize one and it becomes the workspace's own report. Ratios are worked out from the period's totals, and impression shares are read as Google totals them.
Take Brightwater Bikes, a made-up shop spending €6,000 a month on Google Ads. In Data Studio, a weekly report of wasted searches means adding a search term table, filtering out converting rows and sorting by cost. In Optizads, the Searches report template already holds a card of the searches that cost money with no conversion.
Scheduling works differently. Data Studio emails any report as a PDF on a schedule, once a day at most without Pro and once an hour with it. Optizads builds the weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on its own schedule and tells the people you choose they are ready. Any other report goes out when you press Send, with its PDF, to up to 20 people.

Questions about this comparison.
Anything else? Ask Oppy in the product, or write to the team.
Is Looker Studio now called Data Studio?
Yes. Google's documentation says Looker Studio is now called Data Studio, and links to the old product page lead to the new one. Reports built in Looker Studio carry on under the new name.
Is Data Studio free?
Yes for creators and report viewers, according to Google's page on 14 October 2026. Data Studio Pro costs $9 per user per project a month and adds Gemini, hourly schedules and chart alerts.
How often can Data Studio email a report?
Without Pro, once a day at most; with Pro, up to once an hour. A schedule takes up to 50 addresses, and the email carries a PDF, a preview of the first page and a link. Without Pro, daily and monthly quotas cap how many people you can send to.
Can I keep Data Studio and use Optizads too?
Yes. Optizads reads Google Ads with its own permission and touches nothing in Data Studio. Many teams keep a cross-channel dashboard there and use Optizads for the Google Ads account itself.
Where does the Data Studio information come from?
From Data Studio's own website, cloud.google.com, read on 14 October 2026. Plans and prices change, so check their site for current details.
