The short answer
Most ecommerce inventory is never competitive enough to be shown, and no Google Ads report subtracts one number from the other. Oppy compares the products in the feed with those that got impressions and says so when a large part never appeared.
Why it matters
Some of those products are discontinued, some overpriced, and some are the next thing to sell. Without the number, nobody knows which conversation to have.
A shop that thinks it advertises 2,000 products and really advertises 600 is making decisions about a catalogue it is not running.
How Oppy decides
The check runs on accounts with a product feed that could be read.
Checks that weigh money or clicks judge what they find on your own account's numbers, not on one figure applied to every account, so what counts as a problem on a small account is not the same on a large one. Checks on settings read how the account is set up.
When there is too little to go on, the check says so instead of guessing. A finding always comes with the rows behind it, so you can read the evidence before you decide.

| Step of the audit | Structure |
| What it reads | Product status, read through Google Ads |
| Needs trustworthy conversions | No. It does not wait for the tracking step. |
| What happens next | Reported in the audit with the rows behind it. The decision stays with you. |
Check it yourself in Google Ads
- In Google Ads, open the Products report for Shopping and Performance Max over a recent period.
- Export the products with impressions.
- Compare with your full product list in Merchant Center.
- Work out the share of products that never had an impression.
What to do about it
Sort the unseen products: discontinued ones can leave the feed, overpriced ones need a price or a reason, and the ones you want to sell may need better titles, images or their own campaign with a priority.
Use custom labels to group products by margin or season, so you can push the ones that matter.
