On this page
Why Google shows it
Where it shows: in Merchant Center, on the product or on the account.
- The feed updates once a day while prices on the site change more often.
- A sale price on the site that is missing from the feed, or the other way round.
- Prices shown with or without tax, or in another currency, depending on the visitor.
- A price that changes after a choice of size or option on the page.
How to fix it
- Open the product in Merchant Center to see both prices Google read.
- Update the feed more often, or use the Merchant API or the shop platform's direct connection.
- Use the sale price attribute with its dates for promotions.
- Make the default variant's price on the page match the feed's price.
- Turn on automatic item updates in Merchant Center to correct small differences.
What happens next
Once the next crawl sees matching prices, the product returns, usually within a few days.
Shops that change prices often benefit most from a direct connection rather than a daily file.
How to stop it coming back
Schedule feed updates right after price changes, and before the start and end of every promotion.
Show one price per product page by default, the same one the feed sends, with taxes shown the same way.
Checks that catch it
Oppy runs these every week, so the status is found early.
- Products that cannot appear at all: Products marked not eligible, which never enter the auction and so never appear in any report.
- A sale reported at a fixed price rather than its own: A purchase action set to always use its default value, so a €15 order and a €900 order weigh the same.
