The short answer
An account that counts people walking in, but targets whole countries, may be showing ads to people hundreds of kilometres from the door. Oppy asks the question when local actions are recorded and no campaign uses radius targeting.
Why it matters
Radius targeting is the only way to say people near us. Without it, a city centre shop reaches the whole country, and the local visits it counts come from a small part of the clicks it buys.
Many businesses have a shop and ship nationally, so this is a question, not a fault. It pairs with the location asset check, which asks whether the ad shows an address.
How Oppy decides
The check only applies when the account records in-person visits or local actions.
Checks that weigh money or clicks judge what they find on your own account's numbers, not on one figure applied to every account, so what counts as a problem on a small account is not the same on a large one. Checks on settings read how the account is set up.
When there is too little to go on, the check says so instead of guessing. A finding always comes with the rows behind it, so you can read the evidence before you decide.

| Needs trustworthy conversions | No. It does not wait for the tracking step. |
| What happens next | Reported in the audit with the rows behind it. The decision stays with you. |
Check it yourself in Google Ads
- In Google Ads, open each campaign, then Settings, then Locations.
- Check whether locations are whole countries or regions, or a radius around an address.
- Open the locations report to see where clicks and visits come from.
- Compare with how far your customers usually travel.
What to do about it
If visits matter, add a campaign, or a set of locations, with a radius around each shop that matches how far customers come. On manual bidding, bid more inside it if visits are worth more than online sales.
If you sell nationally too, keep the national targeting for that job, in its own campaign.
