Who can change this account

Who has admin or standard access to the Google Ads account, and since when. The list itself is the finding: an agency with admin may be right; nobody knowing is not.

The short answer

Who has full control of the account never shows in a performance report. Oppy lists the users with admin access, and says so when they come from more than one email domain, meaning someone outside the business holds full control.

Why it matters

Former agencies, freelancers and staff often keep admin access long after they stop working on the account. Admins can change billing, invite others and remove the owner.

An agency with admin access may be exactly right. Nobody knowing who holds it is not. The finding is the list, not an accusation.

How Oppy decides

The check reads every person invited to the account, with their role and who invited them. Access through a linked manager account, the usual agency route, is not part of this read: look at the Managers tab too.

Checks that weigh money or clicks judge what they find on your own account's numbers, not on one figure applied to every account, so what counts as a problem on a small account is not the same on a large one. Checks on settings read how the account is set up.

When there is too little to go on, the check says so instead of guessing. A finding always comes with the rows behind it, so you can read the evidence before you decide.

Check it yourself in Google Ads

  1. In Google Ads, open Admin, then Access and security.
  2. List the users with Admin access, and note the domain of each email address.
  3. Check who invited each one and whether they still work on the account.
  4. Look at Managers too, to see which manager accounts are linked.

What to do about it

Remove access for people and agencies who no longer work on the account, or lower their role. Keep at least two admins from inside the business, so the account is never locked to one person.

Review the list every quarter, and whenever an agency or employee leaves.

How do I see who has access to my Google Ads account?

Open Admin, then Access and security. It lists every user and their access level, and the Managers tab shows linked manager accounts.

Should my agency have admin access?

It can, if you agree on it. Make sure at least one admin belongs to your own business, so you keep control if the relationship ends.
