Why Google shows it
Where it shows: in a notice at the top of Google Ads, and under Billing for payments.
- Egregious policy violations, such as misrepresentation or circumventing systems.
- Repeated violations of the same policy after warnings.
- Unpaid balances or suspicious payment activity.
- Failing or not completing advertiser verification in time.
- A link to another suspended account.
How to fix it
- Read the suspension notice in the account and the email Google sent. Note the exact policy named.
- Fix the cause on the site and in the account before appealing: the review looks at both.
- Submit the appeal from the account's suspension notice, explaining what you changed.
- Do not open a new account to keep advertising. Google treats that as circumventing systems.
What happens next
Appeal reviews can take several days. If the appeal is accepted, ads can serve again.
If it is refused, the notice says whether another appeal is possible. Change what the policy names before trying again.
How to stop it coming back
Fix policy warnings as they come, since repeated warnings on the same policy are what turn into a suspension.
Keep billing, verification and contact details up to date, and make sure someone reads the emails Google sends to the account.
How Optizads catches it
Optizads reads each account's status every hour. When Google suspends an account, an urgent alert goes out by email to the people who receive alerts, and shows in the app.
