The short answer
Sitelinks are the cheapest click-through rate a search campaign has. Google can show up to six on desktop and eight on mobile, and they cost nothing per impression. Oppy counts the sitelinks each live Search campaign can actually use and lists the ones short of what Google can show.
Why it matters
A campaign short of sitelinks pays the same price for a smaller ad. Each link also sends people straight to the page they want, such as pricing, a service or contact, without passing through the home page.
Unlike almost everything else in an audit, the fix has no measurement cost: nothing is switched off and nothing stops being measured.
How Oppy decides
The check reads every enabled Search campaign that had impressions recently.
Checks that weigh money or clicks judge what they find on your own account's numbers, not on one figure applied to every account, so what counts as a problem on a small account is not the same on a large one. Checks on settings read how the account is set up.
When there is too little to go on, the check says so instead of guessing. A finding always comes with the rows behind it, so you can read the evidence before you decide.

|---|---|
| Step of the audit | Ads |
| What it reads | Campaigns, their settings and their results |
| Needs trustworthy conversions | No. It does not wait for the tracking step. |
| What happens next | Reported in the audit with the rows behind it. The decision stays with you. |
Check it yourself in Google Ads
- In Google Ads, open Campaigns, then Assets, and filter by type: Sitelink.
- Note the sitelinks added at account level, and those added to each campaign.
- For each Search campaign, count the sitelinks it can show: its own, and the account-level ones, which can show alongside them.
- List the campaigns with fewer than six.
What to do about it
Add sitelinks to your real pages: services, pricing, reviews, contact, locations. Give each a clear label and two description lines.
Add them at account level to cover every campaign, then at campaign level where a campaign needs pages of its own.
