The short answer
Bumpers, skippable spots and longer videos reach different parts of an audience. When an account has several videos and all of them fall in one length band, it reaches one group and pays to be ignored by the others. Oppy reads every video's length to check.
Why it matters
A six second bumper buys recall from people who watch nothing. A 15 to 30 second skippable buys attention from people who choose to give it. A longer video tells a story to those already interested.
A library in one band does one of those jobs. The others are left undone, and the campaign's results reflect only the audience that format suits.
How Oppy decides
The check reads every video asset with its duration.
Checks that weigh money or clicks judge what they find on your own account's numbers, not on one figure applied to every account, so what counts as a problem on a small account is not the same on a large one. Checks on settings read how the account is set up.
When there is too little to go on, the check says so instead of guessing. A finding always comes with the rows behind it, so you can read the evidence before you decide.

Check it yourself in Google Ads
- In Google Ads, open Campaigns, then Assets, and filter by asset type: YouTube video.
- Note each video's length, or open it on YouTube.
- Sort them into bands: 6 seconds or less, up to 30 seconds, over 30 seconds.
- If they all sit in one band, the library covers one job.
What to do about it
Cut what you have into other lengths: a six second bumper from the strongest moment of a longer video, or a 15 second version of a long one.
Match each length to its campaign: bumpers for reach, skippable for consideration, longer for people who already know you.
