Track every Google Ads goal. Against a plan, with where it is heading.
Goals is the Optizads page for Google Ads goal tracking: one chart per goal, set against Oppy's plan, with a Forecast line, a Potential line and a likely range. Below the chart, every campaign's pace for the month.
- Calls, conversions or your own sheet
- Forecast and Potential lines
- A goal for any metric
The main goal, in four steps. Set once in Settings, Goals.
Every account has one main goal. The Overview, the reports, Oppy and the agency table all judge the account on it.
Optizads names the result
It is named in your account's words: the conversion family Google recorded most over the last 30 days. Sale, call, lead, booking, signup, enquiry and a few more. Page views are never a goal.
Pick where it is counted
All calls, calls counted as conversions, Google Ads conversions of that kind, another kind, or your own table. Each choice shows its figure for last month and this month before you pick.
Set a count a month
What you aim for each month, in the result's own words: 120 bookings, 300 calls, 450 sales.
Add a maximum cost per result
Oppy judges every budget raise against it. It is not a Google Ads bid target, so your bidding does not change. Until you set one, Oppy uses your average over the last 30 days.
Where the count comes from. Five sources, one goal.
The picker asks Which calls to count? for a calls result, or Where to count your bookings from? for any other. Changing the answer refits the forecast at once.
An account whose calls come from its website keeps counting its conversions.
Counting from your own sheet. When the real result never reaches Google Ads.
Take Dentalia, a made-up dental clinic. Its ads bring calls and form fills, but what pays is a booked appointment. Reception logs each one in a Google Sheet, one tab a month. Point the goal at that sheet in 3 steps, and Goals counts bookings instead of form fills.
A Google Sheet is read again each night and when you open Optizads, read only. A new tab laid out like the others joins by itself. A changed layout or an edited past month waits for your answer.
A day the sheet does not hold is counted from Google Ads, and the figure shows the split: 84 from the table + 6 from Google Ads. With less than a month of days in the sheet, Goals shows it but keeps Google Ads for the forecast. Setup is on the Google Sheets page.
One chart per goal. What happened, where it heads, what Oppy could add.
Each goal gets a tab and a chart titled by what it is set against, such as Purchases by week vs Oppy's plan.
Oppy's plan
For spend, your monthly budget spread over the months, shaped by your season once there is a full, steady year, and never above the budget. For a count, your monthly goal.
Forecast
Where the goal goes if nothing changes, from Optizads' own forecast. It needs 7 days of data first. Before that, the chart says Forecast in 5 days.
Potential
The forecast plus what Oppy's open tasks with an estimate would add once made. A kind of change not yet checked against results counts at half.
Likely range
The band around the forecast where past results landed one time in two. Potential's band is wider, because it adds each task's own range.
A verdict per period
Each past week or month reads On plan, Under plan or Over plan. Periods before the account was connected read Not judged.
An axis that zooms
Zero stays on the base line, but the steps centre on where the account is heading, so Forecast and Potential read apart. Nothing is cut off.
Pick the window. From one day to a year ahead.
The Range menu sits at the end of the goal tabs. Arrows step the window back or forward, at most a year ahead.
Past 62 days a chart moves to weeks, past 16 weeks to months. The running week and month count today, as far as it was read.
Every campaign's pace this month. Under the chart, one row per campaign.
The table follows the chart's period, by campaign, ad group or ad. Its This month's pace columns always cover this month.
The campaigns' month ends add up to the account's projected month end on the Overview.
A campaign on its own goal stands apart. Never ranked against the others.
In Google Ads, a campaign can count a custom goal of its own. Picture a newsletter campaign counting signups while the others count sales. Adding the two would flatter the cost per sale.
Goals marks it Counts its own goal: Newsletter signups. Its figures stay out of the table's total, and the table says so. Oppy never ranks it against the others or adds its conversions to theirs, and never proposes pausing it from such a comparison.
A running campaign that starts or stops counting its own goal raises an alert. The glossary explains custom goals.
A goal for any figure. Counts get a month, rates and costs a level.
Next to the main goal, Other goals takes any metric on your cards: Google Ads, Google Analytics 4 or Search Console, or your own sheet and calculated metrics, tagged Custom. A count gets a goal a month. A rate or a cost gets a level.
So one account might track ROAS at 4.0x min, an average CPC at €0.60 max, and 8,000 organic clicks / month. Each goal gets its own tab and chart, and any Overview card can draw it as a goal line.
Oppy reads the main goal as this page counts it. Ask how the month is going and it answers from that count and this page's forecast, with the month and the range. In an agency workspace, the CPA vs target column judges each account against the target set here.

What is the Goals page in Optizads?
It is where you track your Google Ads goals. Each goal has a chart set against Oppy's plan, with a Forecast line, a Potential line and a likely range. A table below shows every campaign's pace for the month.
Is the maximum cost per result my Target CPA?
No. It is the reference Oppy judges every budget raise against. It does not change your bidding in Google Ads. While it is empty, Oppy uses your average cost per result over the last 30 days.
Can I count a goal from a spreadsheet?
Yes. Choose Your table as the source, then a Google Sheet or an Excel or CSV file in the Library. Days the table does not hold are counted from Google Ads, and the figure shows the split.
Does a calls goal count every call?
By default it counts every call your ads took, once those are at least as many as Google's call conversions. You can switch to calls counted as conversions. An account whose calls come from its website keeps counting conversions.
Why is there no forecast on my account yet?
A forecast needs 7 days of data, and the chart counts down until then. When every campaign is paused, the chart says No campaign running and forecasts nothing more until one runs again.
